Idioms
What is an idiom?
An idiom is a group of words with a figurative
meaning that cannot be understood just by knowing the meaning of each word.
Why do we need idioms?
When you use idioms in the course of
a conversation, you will sound more native and will add color to your language.
Moreover, nearly every English person uses a lot of idioms while speaking. Sometimes
idioms are used as a short way to express a more complicated idea. Furthermore,
idioms are fun to learn.
Now let’s have a look at some
examples:
1) It’s not a
country club
دي
مش وكالة من غير بواب
2) To make a mountain out of a molehill
يعمل من الحبة قبة
3) When pigs fly
في المشمش
4) To beat a dead horse

5) Birds of a feather flock together
