Time in English ( For Beginners) درس الساعة للمبتدئين

A lot of beginners think that asking about the time and telling it is something difficult that they won't acquire easily. That's why we chose to search and research for many references to get you the easiest ways of telling the time and asking about it .

We have many forms of question to ask about the time in English 

عندنا طُرق كتير نكون بيها السؤال عن الوقت في الانجليزي

For example 

Excuse me, what time is it, please?

Excuse me, could you tell me the time, please?

Excuse me, what is the time, please?

Excuse me, do you have the time?

Excuse me, what time is it right now?  

Excuse me, can you please tell me the time?

To properly tell the time in English , you must put in your mind that in English the clock is divided into two halves. 

عشان تقول الوقت بالإنجليزي لازم تبقا عارف ان الساعة في الانجليزي متقسمة نصين

نُص ال 

Past  

ع اليمين

وده بنستخدمه عشان نقول عدى قد ايه بعد الساعه كذا .. 

و نُص ال

To

على الشمال

وده بنستخدمه عشان نقول فاضل قد ايه والساعه  تبقا كذا ..

Let's have examples

خلينا ناخد امثلة 

لما تشوف كده مثلا   

هتقول It is one minute past three

يعني عدى دقيقة بعد التلاته

(تلاته ودقيقة )

Another example

It's ten past nine

(9 وعشرة )

 12 طب لو عدى 15 دقيقة على الساعه 

It's fifteen past twelve 

or

It's quarter past twelve

(12 وربع)

:Another example 

هنا انت عايز تقول 12 ونص 

يبقى 

It's twelve thirty 

or 

Half past twelve 

12 ونص

.........

خلي بالك 

.........

الأمريكان مش بيقولوا Past وبيستبدلوها بكلمة After 

يعني For example

6:20

هتبقا 

It's twenty after six

طيب ندخل على النُص التاني من الساعة وهو To

باين من ال Image ان فاضل 5  دقايق وتبقا الساعه 12 ,, 

It's five to twelve 

(12 الا خمسة )

فاضل ربع ساعة على التمانية

It's quarter to eight 

(تمانية الا ربع)

وممكن برضه تقول الوقت بالطريقة الأسهل وشائعة   

 وهي انك تقول الساعات الأول بعدين  الدقايق 

مثلا 

9:13= Nice thirteen 

10:20 = Ten twenty 

1:30 = One thirty

في الساعات ال Digital 

بنلاقي احيانا الساعه كده 

 اما تكون الدقايق من 01 لحد 09 

بنقول 

Twelve oh eight

Oh= Zero
